Strong demand for Greening Inland Shipping Conference places
More than 200 people have so far booked to attend London’s first Greening Inland Shipping conference at The Crystal, London on Tuesday, 10 September, with registration for places set to close in a week’s time.
At the day-long conference delegates are set to hear from speakers including London’s deputy mayor for the environment, Shirley Rodrigues and Claire McAllister, Department for Transport, alongside international research scientists and early adopters of new greener propulsion systems.
Much anticipated is the launch by Cross River Partnership of vessel retro fitting grants from the Mayor of London’s Air Quality Fund to reduce emissions. Delegates will also have the opportunity to talk to representatives from fourteen exhibitors, including CLean INland SHipping (CLINSH), Siemens, ABB and BMT Global.
“We’re delighted with the strong interest shown in this event so far and with places going fast, we encourage anyone who wants to come to get on line and book their place,” commented PLA environment manager, Tanya Ferry. “The day is set to provide a unique opportunity for collaborations across vessel operation, research and equipment providers. It’s an exciting prospect.”
Registration for the conference and exhibition is set to close on Tuesday, 3 September 2019.
