Scouts' Flotilla to visit Docklands

A flotilla of up to 35 sailing vessels will be navigating past Gravesend at 1000 on Friday 27th July. They will be on their way to Dockland Scout Project in West India Dock.

The crews are European Scouts from several countries who are coming to attend the International Scout Jamboree to celebrate 100 years of scouting. The vessels are coming from Belgium, France, Holland, Poland and Norway.

The biggest vessel is the Polish Sail Training vessel "Zawisza Czarny" and a Port of London Authority pilot will guide the vessel upriver. The PLA is supporting the event with pilotage services.
