PLA helps Gravesham Mayor 'Beat the Bounds'

Cllr Derek Sales with the PLA's John Studd onboard the PLA launchThe Mayor of Gravesham, Cllr Derek Sales, took to the river with the Port of London Authority (PLA) on Sunday, 6 October as he ‘beat the bounds’ of the borough.

The river provides the best means to cover the borough’s northern boundary and the PLA has hosted incoming Gravesham mayors on the river for many years.

PLA harbour master, Chris McQueen and launch crew,  John Studd and Mark Kilshaw, hosted the Mayor and his party on the trip.

The river Thames boundary of Gravesham is some six miles long, out of a total borough perimeter of some 35 miles.
