New person takes over helm of sales and marketing at Riverboat Company

Natasha Contini, City Cruises' newly appointed Head of Sales and Marketing, has assumed responsibility for all aspects of the role, prior to David Steele's forthcoming retirement.

Contini has extensive experience, having worked in the travel and tourism industry for nearly 20 years, most recently as Director of Sales at a Radisson SAS Hotel in Ireland. Her career includes nine years working in Sales and Marketing for a number of hotels and she has held a variety of sales and marketing roles for various travel and leisure companies in Australia and the United States.

She will work closely with the Board of Directors, to develop the Sales and Marketing strategy, in order to grow the brand and strengthen the company's position as a leading and innovative riverboat operator on the River Thames.

Steele, who joined City Cruises in 1995 as Head of Sales and Marketing, will be retiring after having been involved with the River Thames for more than 30 years of his working life. During his time with City Cruises sales have increased from £2 million to over £7 million and in 1996 he received an award for his 'Outstanding Contribution to Group Travel by an Individual' at the Group Travel Awards.
