New feeder service for London

A new weekly feeder service between London, Rotterdam and Le Havre has been established by X-Press Container Line (UK) Ltd. The company has now begun a fixed day weekly call at Tilbury Container Services (TCS) in the Port of London.

The vessel "Patricia S." inaugurated the new service with its first call at TCS this week and will alternate with the vessel "Tossens". X-Press Container Line is a dedicated feeder operator, providing feeder services for deep sea container operators. The company currently employs 12 vessels in the northern European continent, UK, Ireland, Iberian, and Scandinavian sectors.

Mark Allen, European director of X-Press Container Line said:

"We welcome this opportunity of raising our profile with this new service linking London with north continental ports. We see this as a natural expansion of our present calls at other UK ports."

Geoff Adam, Port of London head of marketing said:

"We welcome X-Press Container Line to the Port of London as this service provides a useful new feeder link to Rotterdam and Le Havre, proving London's pivotal position as one of the main UK gateway ports on the north European shipping lanes."

X-Press Container Line agents in the UK are Fred Olsen Agencies Ltd who co-ordinate all operations and bookings for X-Press vessels at their Ipswich office.
