New Director for City Cruises

New City Cruises Director  Gwyn Hughes

City Cruises has confirmed the appointment of Gwyn Hughes, as their new Non-Executive Director.

Hughes, who takes on the role with immediate effect, has extensive industry experience at senior executive level, most notably as Managing Director of P&O Cruises.

Currently also Director of Bales Worldwide, Chairman of the Cranley Group and communications consultancy Pinpoint Communications, he was brought onboard to help steer the company through the changing industry landscape.

Gary Beckwith, Chairman of City Cruises said: "Hughes' broad industry experience complements that of the existing Board members and we are delighted that he has agreed to join us at this crucial stage of our strategy development, in the run up to the Olympics. He will be invaluable in supporting the business during its future expansion."

His appointment comes on the back of City Cruises' launch of its sightseeing expansion strategy, which resulted in an increase in the number and frequency of boats operating the service.
