With Thames passenger and freight statistics at record levels, the Port of London Authority (PLA) officially introduced its £7 million multi-purpose river maintenance vessel, London Titan, in a ceremony at Tower Pier today (Thursday, 3 December 2015).

The Secretary of State for Transport, The Rt Hon. Patrick McLoughlin MP, has appointed Christopher Rodrigues CBE as chairman of the Board of the Port of London Authority (PLA) with effect from 1 January 2016.

Due to deteriorating weather conditions (strong winds) causing large waves, we have had to cancel the participation of dragon boats in this year's race. Dragon boats have low sides, close to the water and are particularly vulnerable to taking on water in rough conditions.
