Museum of London Docklands

The Museum of London Docklands is housed in a listed warehouse on West India Quay. The collection tells the story of London's river, port and people from the arrival of the Romans to the construction of Canary Wharf.

The galleries include 'Mudlarks', an interactive area for children,  'Sailortown' - an atmospheric re-creation of the streets around Wapping riverfront as they would have appeared in the early nineteenth century and the latest addition 'London, Sugar and Slavery' which tells the story of London's involvement in the transatlantic slave trade.

The Museum is open seven days a week from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm. Last admission is at 4.00 pm.

Entrance to the Museum is free.

The nearest public transport options are West India Quay DLR and Canary Wharf on the Jubilee Line or Elizabeth Line.
