PLA Harbourmaster’s Recreational Navigation Group
The PLA established a working group in 2008 to discuss how they were to introduce a new Code of Practice for Rowing on the Tideway and this group successfully achieved its original purpose. The PLA and the membership found that this group had achieved a great deal in a relatively short space of time, therefore it was decided to keep the group as the “PLA Harbourmaster’s Recreational Navigation Group” (PHRNG). It currently meets twice a year (Spring/Autumn) to discuss; recreational navigation incidents, upcoming river events and discusses the impact of current/future river works.
